Intake Surveys and Pre/Post Outcomes in Power BI
County Community Services
A mental health agency had survey data trapped in separate files with no way to track client outcomes over time. I built refreshable Power BI dashboards and ran matched pre/post statistical analysis so leadership could monitor program effectiveness in real time.
"The results exceeded expectations in every way. He did an expert job, better than I imagined it could be."

The problem
A community mental health agency was running multiple Microsoft Forms intake and outcomes surveys. Results lived in separate exports and spreadsheets, so staff could not see response volume, completion status, or pre- versus post-treatment patterns in one place. Program evaluation meant manual cutting and pasting, and nothing updated on its own.
What I delivered
- Power Query models that normalize and unify pre- and post-survey structures (including header cleanup, section scoring, and person-level matching rules)
- Refreshable Power BI dashboards so intake and outcomes data stay current as new responses arrive
- Pages for roster-level detail, pre-survey results, matched pre/post comparisons, and trauma-screen overview
- R-based QA and inferential work on matched pre/post samples, with validation outputs and a structured outcomes report
- Branded report theme and walkthroughs so the team could run refreshes independently
